Because of that curiosity – and thanks to my father – photography captivated me and became my main passion. Music has also been a crucial element in my life, as it has helped me relax and calm the thousand thoughts per second that usually run through my head; that’s why I decided to study my bachelor’s degree in Sound and Image Engineering.

As the years went by, photography remained a hobby, while acoustics and sound sparked a professional interest in me – more specifically, room acoustics. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I had the opportunity to study a Master’s degree in Acoustic Engineering at DTU (Copenhagen), where I strengthened my knowledge of acoustics and discovered the auditory science field – something I had not studied before, but which greatly deepened my interest in understanding the relationship between the physics of sound and the auditory experience.

I wanted to dedicate my professional life to improving our auditory experience in enclosed spaces – an aspect that has a profound impact on our wellbeing, concentration, communication, and even emotional balance.

By combining the two branches of acoustics that fascinated me the most, I realised that I wanted to dedicate my professional life to improving our auditory experience in enclosed spaces – an aspect that has a profound impact on our well-being, concentration, communication, and even emotional balance; yet is often not a priority in architectural design. Since then, and thanks to my personality, I have been passionate about sharing acoustic knowledge based on research and evidence, so that acoustics can start to take a leading role when we talk about comfort in everyday indoor environments.”
