Schneider Electric shapes a future-oriented workplace at the EUREF Campus Düsseldorf

The new EUREF (European Energy Forum) Campus Düsseldorf is designed as a hub for innovation, bringing together business, science and research in a sustainable, future-oriented environment. For Schneider Electric Operations Consulting GmbH, which established offices on the campus, the goal was to create an open-plan workplace that encourages collaboration while also supporting concentration and wellbeing. Achieving the right acoustic balance in this setting was a key challenge.

From the early planning stage, room acoustics were prioritised. The design team worked with Ecophon to integrate Ecophon Solo™ Baffle panels, installed vertically to deliver high acoustic performance. Their flexible height and spacing allowed the architects to maintain an open and elegant atmosphere while providing effective sound absorption. The baffles also contribute to the interior design concept by harmonising with furniture and colour schemes.

The new office landscape provides optimal conditions for focused work, productive meetings and informal exchanges. Employees benefit from reduced noise levels and improved comfort, while the workplace itself demonstrates how good acoustics can support both functionality and aesthetics. The project highlights Schneider Electric’s commitment to creating sustainable, people-centred work environments in line with the wider vision of the EUREF Campus.
