Better sound for the ultimate movie experience: Modernising the Sokolský dům cinema in Vyškov

Imagine watching the latest James Bond movie, the next chapter of the legendary Dune, or another blockbuster on the big screen, in comfy padded seats and with perfect sound. In addition to top-quality visuals, it's the sound effects that turn a trip to the cinema into an unforgettable experience. Now you can enjoy just that in Vyškov at the Sokolský dům cinema.

The Municipal Cultural Centre, which manages the cinema, decided to carry out a complete renovation and modernisation so that audiences can fully enjoy every screening. In addition to 251 comfortable seats, the cinema also got an expanded projection screen, a new air-conditioning system, and an energy-efficient LED lighting setup.

One of the key aspects of the renovation was enhancing the acoustic environment. This was achieved by using Ecophon Sombra™ acoustic panels. This system is specifically designed to minimise unwanted noise and optimise sound clarity. Ideal for spaces like cinemas, it was recommended by the acousticians at AkuDesign to meet the requirements set by the architects from InaAs studio.
